Availability
Where to watch: how availability works in your country
Short answer
Streaming rights are sold country by country, so “is it on Netflix” has a different answer in the UK, the US and Brazil. Every title page shows the services carrying it in the market you select, and the data comes from JustWatch through TMDB.
Quick fix
- Open any title page and use the market selector in the “Where to watch” block.
- Subscription rows mean it is included with that service; rent and buy are one-off payments.
- If a title shows no services, it is not licensed in that country right now — that is a rights issue, not a bug.
One title, many answers
A film can be on one service in the UK, a different one in Germany and nowhere at all in Japan. A site that answers “is it on Netflix” with a single global sentence is wrong for most of its visitors. That is why this site asks TMDB for the full country table in one request and lets you pick your market.
The data is provided by JustWatch and refreshed by TMDB. It is a snapshot: services add and drop titles weekly, so treat a missing entry as “not right now”, not “never”.
How to read the rows
Four categories are shown, and they mean different things:
- Subscription — included with a service you already pay for (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and similar).
- Free — legitimately free with ads or with a library card, no subscription required.
- Rent — a one-off payment for a limited window, usually 48 hours.
- Buy — you keep access to the digital copy in that service’s library.
What the site does not do
This site does not sell, rent or stream these titles. The availability block is informational: it points at the provider’s own page. If you press a provider that does not carry the title, the provider’s own search is the source of truth — licensing changes are sometimes slower to propagate than the provider’s catalogue.
Region-unlock advice is deliberately not offered. Using a VPN to appear in another country breaks most services’ terms, and recommending it here would put both the reader and the site in the wrong.
Common questions
Why does a country show no providers?
No service holds the rights there at that moment, or JustWatch has no data for it yet. Both look the same on the page.
Is the availability data live?
It is cached for six hours to keep pages fast. That is fresh enough for weekly licensing changes.
Do you get paid when I open a provider?
Links go to the provider directly and are not affiliate links. If that ever changes, the placement will be labelled as an affiliate link on the page.
